The best place to be

As long as I can remember this has been one of my most favorite places to be... my Grammy and Gramp's Farm. I can remember writing a paper I think in the 5th or 6th grade, describing what it was like to be here, and how it looked something like 4-5 pages later it was finished.... I didn't want to leave any detail out. Life is simple here and only the important things matter there is no outside world to influence you, you can throw your chore boots on and be about your way, exploring, checking on the animals or just spending time together. The last time Tory had been hear she was about 7 months. So when we went this time it was like the first time for her, I'm pretty sure she loves it as much as I do. With all the animals, flowers and of course Grammy and Gramps. I can't wait until we can go again.

Weekend getaways
This summer we were lucky enough to have a couple weekend getaways, we first went to Leavenworth with Carl's cousins Enoch and Amanda. The guys wanted to go somewhere and golf so that was the placed we all agreed on. We stayed in a great condo for 2 nights, the boys got to go golfing and Amanda and I got to have a massage which ended up to be the best message I think that I have ever had, It was so amazing. While the boys where out golfing Amanda and I thought that we would go look around town since there are so many cute shops there, we quickly realized though that it would be next to impossible to do with two little helpers. Tory and Malachi wanted to touch everything. Later we did get to go back in to town just us girls and go to a wonderful chocolate shop. There chocolates are homemade by the wife of the gentleman working in the shop, they where so yummy.

Just outside of Leavenworth there is a petting zoo that we stopped at everyone had so much fun feeding the animals, especially Carl.

Some peacocks strutting their stuff

Little buddies

Malachi was exstatic about the tracker, he had the sound effects going and everything.
The hen house

While in Leavenworth we also went to their fish hatchery

This is back at the little petting zoo, they had a little cow train that they would pull you around the farm in. There was no way us pregnant ladies where fitting in the cows with the kids to so the Dads rode instead. It was quite a sight to see Enoch get out of the cow.

On another weekend we went as a family to Silverwood and Silver Mountain Ski Resort I guess it was a Silver weekend. Here Tory is on the train there.
